- Khalifa Al Marar grew up in a Muslim family.
- In 1978, he joined the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs as a Diplomatic Attaché.
- Khalifa served as the UAE ambassador to Tokyo, Japan, from 1978 to 1981.
- In 1982, he moved to New York, where he served at the UAE’s Permanent Mission to the United Nations for three years.
- In 1986, Marar was appointed as the Deputy Director of the Arab World Department at MOFA’s (Ministry of Foreign Affairs) Abu Dhabi headquarters. He held the post till 1990.
