  • From 1995 to 1998, Marar served as the Director of the Gulf Cooperation Council Affairs Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Abu Dhabi.
  • In 1999, he was appointed as an Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the UAE to the Islamic Republic of Iran. He held the post till 2009.
