- Hala Shiah is half-Lebanese, as her maternal family hails from Lebanon, and half-Egyptian, from her paternal side.

- During her childhood, she was interested in fashion design and creative arts. She studied acting as her main subject during her higher education.
- One of the turning points in her career was when she played a small role in the television series Kalimat (1999) with the Egyptian actor Hussein Fahmy. Her performance was noticed by the popular actor Nour El-Sherif, who was instrumental in her role in Al Ragol Al Akhar (1999).
