In 2003, Nancy Ajram released a Lebanese song titled 'Akhasmak Ah,' which was one the songs from her third studio album titled 'Ya Salam.' The music video caused a controversy as it was about reminiscing the old Arabic films. Nancy played the character of a café manager who dances and flirts with its customers. The song and its video received criticism from various news publications, and it was meant to be banned on several Arabic televisions due to its sexually suggestive content. ((The National News))

Criticised for her management's behaviour during the Pride festival
In 2018, Nancy Ajram's management team arrived during the Pride festival in Gothenburg and demanded for all of the rainbow flags to be removed for her to perform. Another Lebanese singer named Hamed Sinno criticised Nancy on a Facebook post and said the Lebanese rock band 'Mashrou' Leila' performed at the festival opening while all the pride flags were up. Later, Nancy Ajram made a tweet in order to clarify the whole situation and was quoted saying that

"Concerning the media hype following my concert in Sweden & all the accusations resulting thereof, I would like to clarify that my management and myself have nothing to do with the pride flags & that the stage pride decoration removal decision was taken by the organiser himself." ((Expressen))

Trespassing accident
In 2020, Nancy Ajram and her husband Fadi El Hachem's villa in Sehaileh, Keserwan District were trespassed by an armed trespasser named Mohamed Hassan Moussa who broke into their house during the early hours of 5 January 2020. The trespasser Hassan Moussa was shot dead by Nancy's husband. During the incident, Nancy Ajram sustained a minor injury to her right leg. Later, the Lebanese judge and state prosecutor named Ghada Aoun issued an arrest warrant for Fadi El Hachem and ordered an investigation into the incident. Soon after, Nancy's husband was released from custody but was restricted from travelling abroad until investigations were concluded. It was stated that, Fadi El Hachem's reaction to the killer was after intense threatening that took place for a few minutes. Some media reporters reported that Hassan Moussa used to work as a gardener for Nancy and her husband and that the trespasser confronted them both with a fake unloaded gun, asking for his unpaid salary.   • Nancy Ajram was born into a Lebanese-Egyptian Greek Orthodox Christian family.
  • At the age of eight, Nancy Ajram started singing with her grandmother and slowly grew an interest in the same and got classically trained. Eventually, she took part in children’s contests on the two Lebanese local TV networks, TL and LBC.
  • In 1995, when she was just 12 years old, Nancy took part in the Lebanese reality TV variety show titled ‘Noujoum Al-Moustakbal’ (Stars of the Future), which was telecast on the Future TV channel. Nancy Ajram won the gold medal in the Tarab category after singing a song by Umm Kulthum, who was an Egyptian singer.
  • Soon after, Nancy started learning music with renowned Lebanese musicians, and even though she was below 18 years of age, she was accepted as a member by the syndicate of professional artists in Lebanon.
