- Malak’s father is Egyptian and her mother is half Lebanese.
- Malak’s taste in music developed due to her family which was passionate about music. She once told in an interview that her family had a wide range of musical record collections of different artists and genres. She said,
Their hobby was to collect vinyl records, so I grew up listening to Fairouz, Umm Kulthum, Guns & Roses, Dire Straits, Scorpions, and Bon Jovi. My dad would spread out his collection and we’d play music all the time. My mom also played the guitar. So there was always music around the house.”
- Malak was 12 years old when she got the realisation to achieve more in music apart from listening to it. She started her music journey by trying to recreate beats and practising on her karaoke machine.
- Malak’s musical inspirations are The Beatles, Scorpions, Janis Joplin, and The Doors.
- The first song performed by Malak in front of the audience was Heaven by Bryan Adams at the age of 12.
