  • After securing a government scholarship, he attended a medical college in Baghdad but dropped out after his first year.
  • In 1981, he started working in the finance department at Abu Dhabi Gas Industries.
  • After two years, he started a catering business where he served customers, including the U.S. Military and people from the Bechtel Corporation. Later, the venture’s name was changed to Global Logistic Services.
