Controversies Cockpit Controversy
In October 2019, he posted a video online where he was seen sitting in the co-pilot's seat during a private flight to Saudi Arabia. In the video his hands were seen on the control wheel and a voice off camera remarked Mohamed Ramadan is the one driving the plane. This act violated Egyptian aviation regulations, which prohibits passengers from entering the cockpit during flight. Thereafter, the Civil Aviation Authority cancelled the licence of the pilot named Captain Ashraf Aboul -Yousr and banned him for life. The other pilot was suspended for a year. Later, Ashraf Aboul -Yousr filed a case against Ramadan and wanted a compensation for the damages faced by him due to the incident. In June 2021, Ramadan's bank accounts were frozen by Egyptian Public Prosecution and he had to pay £E6 million in compensation to the family of Aboul -Yousr as he died a year ago. ((BBC))
