Some Lesser Known Facts About Ruby
- Ruby’s family wanted her to become a doctor. She said in an interview that she had never thought of becoming a singer in her childhood due to pressure from her family. She further said,
It wasn’t allowed. My family would never have permitted it, and I knew this. So I put the idea out of my head. They wanted me to become a doctor. I didn’t think of myself as a singer. I was too scared to even think of a career like this. In school, people told me I had a nice voice, but I had no idea what kind of voice I had. I never dreamed it was enough to make me famous.”
- Ruby at the age of 16 began to change the course of her life after she started giving audition for parts in TV commercials. She later found work first as a model and then as an actress.
- Ruby was removed from her university while she was studying law due to a dress code violation in the premises.
