- She is the second cousin of Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates, Ruler of Dubai.
- Growing up, she used to watch a lot of Japanese action movies.
- In April 2009, Wafa launched FN Designs, a multi-disciplined art gallery and design studio in Al Serkal Avenue, Dubai. She has been working as the Director of the company since then. FN is the Arabic word for “the arts.”
