- Zeina Soufan grew up in Lebanon and Cairo.
- After completing her high school, she moved to Lebanon to complete her higher studies. However, due to the war situation in 1989, she had to leave Lebanon and move to Cairo. Her parents moved to Saudi Arabia.
- In an interview, while talking about her husband, she said that after completing her graduation, she parted ways with Haitham (that time boyfriend). Haitham then moved to America, and she settled in Lebanon. A few years later, she met him again at a friend’s party in Cairo. He jokingly introduced her as her fiancée. During their long conversation, they realised that they still love each other.
- In 1993, she started her career as a journalist with the TV channel Lebanese Future Television in Beirut. In 1995, she moved to Reuters news agency as a Beirut correspondent.
- She is known for covering the 1994 Israeli blitz in south Lebanon dubbed “Operation Accountability” and the War of Wrath 1996 during the Qana massacre.
- In 1998, she worked at a Dubai Business Channel.
