| Controversies | Charged with manslaughter On 11 August 2024, he was arrested on the charge of manslaughter while driving under the influence of drugs and for running over a 40-year-old driver, Ahmed Miftah on the El-Monib Ring Road, Egypt. He revealed during the investigation that he didn't intend to run away and tried to rescue the victim. Later, the victim's family dropped the charge of manslaughter against Essam Sasa, he was sentenced to 6 months in prison for driving under the influence of drugs and was released on 10 February 2025. After the charges of manslaughter were dropped, he was accused of forging power of attorney to appoint a lawyer power of attorney through his brother while he was outside Egypt, falsely claiming he was present to sign it. Initially, he was charged with 1 year of prison for forgery, but, after the appeal, the court upheld the conviction and suspended the prison sentence for 3 years. |

- His father passed away when he was 9 months old.
- He started earning at a young age to support his family and worked as a tuk-tuk driver in Al-Zebahir, Giza, earning around 50 EGP per day before he became a singer. He also worked as an electrician and an aluminium technician.
- During an interview, he revealed that he had memorised 15 parts of the Holy Quran with Tajweed by the age of 15.
- Although he had no formal music education, he began singing in the third year of middle school after inviting his friend and a group of music producers to his home to help them record music.

- He performed in the UAE for more than three months after he was relieved of the charge of manslaughter by running over Ahmed Miftah, which resulted in his death in 2024.
- Before returning to Egypt from the UAE in 2024, he took to his social media and provided details about the car accident. He claimed that the accident occurred in the middle of the road while he was driving home to celebrate his son’s naming ceremony and said,
I was coming back from work to pick up my son and do his ‘aqiqah’ (Islamic naming ceremony) and celebrate him. On my way back, I was exactly on the middle ring road. May God have mercy on the victim’s soul, but I did not hit him on the sidewalk, as people are saying. The accident happened on the left side, not the right.”
