- Mariam Al Khosht grew up in a family of artists in Cairo, Egypt. Her father ran a cooking show on television, and her mother wrote a popular children’s program and was a translator for Disney in Arabic.
- Influenced by her parents, Mariam began doing voiceover and dubbing for some of the most iconic children’s animations and foreign language TV shows in the region at the age of 10.
- After some time, she also started singing for Disney Arabia. Mariam has dubbed Disney characters like Wendy in Peter Pan, Colette in Ratatouille, and Nita in Brother Bear 2.
- Meanwhile, she also developed an interest in acting, and after pursuing her graduation in Fine Arts, Mariam joined a theatre group and did theatre extensively.
- She then began working as a radio presenter.
- Early in her career, Mariam portrayed the role of Zanouba in BBC Radio One’s English adaptation of Naguib Mahfouz’s Trilogy, which earned a Sony Award.
