Some Lesser Known Facts About Shebani
- Both of Shebani’s parents are authors, and she grew up in an environment always surrounded by art and music. She revealed in an interview that her parents played music in the house all the time. She further said,
I was always surrounded by art and music, for as long as I could remember. My parents sang and played music around the house all the time. My older sisters are heavily into music too, so growing up I would always hear them sing and get involved in talent shows.
- Shebani started singing when she was 13 years old. She used to sing and dance in her room and kept it a secret till the age of 14. She later shared this secret with her sisters and finally explored her talent at the university, where she realised that she could sing and perform on stage.
- Her musical journey started in 2015 in Dubai with YouTube covers and open-mic performances. She later moved to London to pursue songwriting and took admission in the British and Irish Modern Music Institute.
- Shebani has featured on some of Dubai’s most popular radio stations, including Virgin Radio Dubai, Pulse Radio Sharjah and Dubai Eye Radio. She has also worked with famous brands such as Puma, Namshi, Bershka and many more.
- Shebani earned certifications as both a songwriter and performer in 2017. She became a full-time musician and performer after that.
